Iran Launches Missiles at Northern Israel Following Trump’s Address
Iranian state media reported that some missiles struck the port city of Haifa shortly after US President Donald Trump’s remarks claiming that Iran possessed only a limited number of missile launchers. In his televised address from the White House, Trump also said Iran’s missile and drone capabilities had been “dramatically curtailed” and predicted that the conflict would continue for another two to three weeks, though he suggested it was nearing its conclusion.
The region has remained on high alert since the US and Israel initiated air strikes on Iran on February 28, which have so far killed over 1,340 people, including the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf states hosting US forces, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
