Iran Launches Missile Barrages at Israel After Trump’s Speech
Iranian state media reported that some missiles reached the port city of Haifa shortly after US President Donald Trump’s remarks claiming that Iran possessed “very few” missile launchers and that its ability to deploy missiles and drones had been “dramatically curtailed.”
Trump also stated that he expects the conflict with Iran to continue for another two to three weeks but believes it is nearing an end.
The region has been on high alert since a US-Israeli air campaign began on February 28, resulting in over 1,340 deaths, including the former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US forces, causing casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
